Vaccination Certificate.

The undersigned chief public-health officer of Wunsiedel police district herewith certifies on the basis of vaccination register no. 93 for the year 1864 for Schönbrunn district that Anna Margaretha Barthmann born in Vordorf on the 9 th of January 1865 was vaccinated during the regular (special) public smallpox-vaccination in Schönbrunn on the 24th of May, and that, per the performed inspection on the 31st of May, the vaccination was reported to have been of indisputable success.

Immigration

Anna Margaretha Barthmann; her father, Erhard Barthmann; her mother, Sabina (Strößenreuther) Barthmann; and her younger brother, Andreas Barthmann, immigrated to America together in 1882.

They embarked at the Port of Antwerp, Belgium, and crossed the Atlantic on the SS Switzerland. On 3 August 1882 they passed through the Port of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States.
